"Earff" Day (and some other drunken random stuff)

Happy Earth Day Everyone!

In the midst of my love-and-thank-you-fest, in regards to my Mom it Forward Tweet Up experience, I have been reminded that today is Earth Day. My boy, who generally pays no attention to anything not envolving him, is (for some reason) all over Earth Day. I have no idea what we should do today, specifically - we try to be"Earff friendly" all the time.

What do we do(everyday)to keep green?

We do live in Eugene, Oregon, and recyling here is HUGE! S0, we recycle all our paper, plastic and glass - everyday. We compost, but anything that doesn't go in our bin, goes to the Forest Product company organic recycle pile. We make our own juice and jam and pickles, we have apple and pear trees. Anything we don't use is donated. We grow lots of veggies...We shop with our own grocery bags. We turn off the water while we brush our teeth. I make my own earth friendly cleaning products. You would be amazed at what you can do with vinegar and baking soda! And I think I just hurt my self...do I really do all that stuff? ( I think I make my family do most of it). Oh! and I didn't pull weeds for Earth Day! Yay! (whose idea was that?)

I forgot to post this earlier today and then I went out and had drinks, I mean dinner.

This is the part where I babble because I had $15.00 worth of alcohol (can you believe how much they charge for a martini?) And did you know, contrary to what you might think - gin and chocolate cake taste pretty good together.

So, anyone out there have a retired or unemployed husband? Mine just got laid off on Friday. I know, I know everyone around here is out of work, it's crazy. I'm not panicking. Well, what good would it do? Takes energy I don't have, I'm too busy spending all my time trying not to kill him!

How am I supposed to put up with him home all the time? He's taken over all my free time and he tells me what to do. (I know! It's stuff I told him needed to get done - but still!)

Here's here driving me crazy all the time. Except tonight. I am...a little tipsy. But I came home early, so he left to play pool. Should that bother me? I'm not really sure. But I think I could use a nap...or another drink.

Is American Idol on tonight? I didn't really enjoy last night. I do enjoy disco on the odd occasion, but lasy night just didn't do anything for me. Even Adam was dull. Do you like the new judge Kara? She bothers me.

Are they lip-synching that opening disco-hell number? Ack!

I poured concrete all afternoon. We are making patio squares. It only makes slightly more sense when you see it as when you hear it. Patio squares, hmmmm.

My son's invisible friend (Wilma) just told me that they are not ready to stop playing Jumpstart right now. They are washing their new puppy. When did we get a new puppy?

I'm breaking up with Facebook. I think. Well, I really want to, but I keep chickening out.

We are talking about holding AJ back from kindergarten next year. I don't know what we should do and I don't know if we are over-reacting. it is so hard to decide what is just a five year old being five and whats is something he needs help with. He did so great meeting all those new kids this weekend, I was so proud of him.

He is getting so big, he looks like a boy who should be in school.

I want some of that chocolate from my GiftTree basket...yummm

I wonder if there's gin in the liquor cabinet. I'm gonna be so sorry tomorrow.
