I bought a HP desktop this weekend when my apple troubles started. Apple is very pricey if it needs repaired. Kind of like fixing a lexus. <br /><br />Consumers report listed dell as more reliable than HP. I think I would go for whatever is the best deal because they all seem to break between 3 and 5 years!!! I have a Dell and the thing works wonderfully but has many little annoyances like saying that battery cannot be charged and I need a new one. Does HP make laptops? If so, I'd go with that or Gateway. I thought we were going to spend over a thousand bucks. But it ended up being 600 which I thought was wayyyy reasonable. And I love my 19 inch screen!<br /><br />Am I still a number one commenter?
